1. Local Overnight Care (Short-Term)

Perfect for short getaways, we provide attentive overnight care for your pets and home. From cozy cuddles and evening meals to keeping your space safe and comfortable, we ensure your furry friends are happy and your home stays cared for—giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

Base rate: $100/day + a transportation fee. Additional costs may apply for extra services such as:

• Plant care

• Property management tasks

• Errands (including purchasing pet supplies)

• Vet visits or groomer transportation

A mandatory meet-and-greet is required before the sit to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for your pets, and costs $30. This is a paid service, and a 50% deposit is required to secure your sit dates.

Available locally in Arizona, with flexible scheduling to fit short-term needs.

2. Extended Pet & House Sitting (Weeks–Months)

Whether you’re away for a few weeks or several months, we provide attentive, reliable care for your pets and home. From daily cuddles and meals to maintaining a secure, comfortable environment, we ensure your furry friends are happy and your home stays cared for—giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

This service is ideal for mutually beneficial arrangements—perfect for pet owners seeking flexible, travel-savvy solutions or longer stays that fit between our paid local short-term clients.

• Payment: Most Extended Pet & House Sitting arrangements booked via TrustedHousesitters are not affected by deposits or direct payments, as the platform manages these. For direct bookings outside the platform, we can discuss payment expectations individually.

• We are happy to provide care locally in Arizona or travel out-of-state for longer or mutually beneficial arrangements.
  

3. Cancellations & Booking Timeline

At Ark + Whisk, we typically book sits 3–6 months in advance, and sometimes even up to a year out. We structure our remote work, gigs, and travel around these pet sits—whether short-term local overnight care or extended stays. Because of this, last-minute changes require a full revamp of our schedules and planning.

Cancellation Policy for Direct Bookings (Local Overnight Care):

• More than 30 days before the sit: full refund of deposit.

• 15–30 days before the sit: 50% of the deposit retained.

• Less than 15 days before the sit: deposit is non-refundable.

TrustedHousesitters Members:

• If you book via TrustedHousesitters, you do not need to worry about this specific cancellation policy, as the platform has its own policies in place.

• We simply ask that all clients remain respectful of our time, effort, and travel commitments when requesting changes or cancellations.
  

4. Additional Services & Costs

Additional services may include:

• Plant care

• Property management tasks

• Errands (pet supplies, vet visits, groomer transportation)

These services are priced separately, and costs will be agreed upon before the sit begins.

5. Liability & Responsibilities

We take every precaution to care for your pets and home, but owners are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information about pets’ health and behavior

• Ensuring pets’ vaccinations and medications are up-to-date

Ark + Whisk is not liable for pre-existing conditions, accidents, or issues beyond our control.

6. Vet Information & Emergency Care Consent

For the safety of your pets, we require:

• Up-to-date vet information, including your designated veterinarian’s contact info.

• A pre-written, signed consent allowing Anela Tayan and Jared Leckey to take your pet to your designated vet in case of an emergency—such as if you are in a different time zone, asleep, traveling, or otherwise unreachable.

This ensures that in any urgent situation, your pets receive timely care while respecting your instructions and preferences.
